Brett Hudson Demonstration on Humorous Cartoons 1.6.11

This evening the members of Virginia Water Art Society were treated to a demonstration ob cartoon painting by Brett Hudson who first showed us his skills in painting his drawings and then gave us a quick demonstration on his methods of drawing and sketching

Mike Skidmore Demonstration Portrait in oil

Virginia Water Art Society members were treated to a very entertaining evening with Mike Skidmore who produced an oil portrait using a very unusual method of first drawing the face then glazing over it with a dark glaze then with a rag removing some of the glaze to show varying tonal shapes depicting highlighted areas which produced a very effective image which he then began to work on with colour

Vic Bearcroft Demonstration Animals in Pastel 6.4.11

Virginia Water Art Society were fortunate enough to have a Demonstration by Vic Bearcroft tonight and not only did we learn a good deal about pastel painting but also thanks to Vic's informative demonstration we now know a great deal more about animals in general and big cats in particular The demonstration was very much enjoyed by everyone
