Virginia Water Art Society Arts and Crafts Exhibition 10th September 2022




















Fabulous Day on the Green at Station Approach Virginia Water on Saturday the weather was really good just a couple of drops of rain for 5 minutes the the sun came out for the rest of the day we had lots of visitors and lots of exhibitors and the variety of painting styles this year was amazing from traditional water colours, abstract and pour painting to photography with a difference.  Crafts also showed their talents with jewellery by Anne Keen, Woodturning from Roger Smith, Resin creations from Sarah Jenkins from Ink it up which also included on her stand Wooden bowls candlesticks and painted animals and a selection of pour paintings and also this year for the first time we had a painter crafter doing painting on slate painted welly removers, if it stands still long enough he will paint it! by  Outside Living Art by Mark Greenaway.

It was a really good mixture of art and Crafts this year and there were 27 exhibitors 35 paintings were sold  crafts sold many of their pieces we all  a very enjoyable day talking to like minded people.

VIRGINIA WATER ART SOCIETY

We are a flourishing Group whose aim is simple: to foster interest in and the practice of, Fine Arts in and around Virginia Water. Membership is open to all, whether or not they are practicing artists. The membership subscription currently stands at £40 per year (subject to review at Decembers Annual General Meeting), plus a charge of £2 on entry to meetings. Visitors are always welcome, entry £10 subject to space allowing

We meet monthly in the Community Centre, Beechmont Avenue, Trumps Green, Virginia Water, GU25 4EY, on the first Wednesday in the month, starting at 7:15 pm. each month except December when we hold our A.G.M. We have either a demonstration of painting or craft, or a talk on Fine Arts Subject.  During the year we  hold several one day workshops, when members may paint together under the guidance of an experienced tutor.

Each year we hold two one day events open to the public The Spring Exhibition and The Autumn Exhibition held in the open air on the Green at Station Approach Virginia Water. At both of these members exhibit an enormous variety of paintings and crafts, virtually all of which are available for purchase.

Every effort will be made to ensure the safety of all persons attending our events, masks and social distancing and any other current Government rules will apply.
