After two false starts with
the weather so bad that we found it impossible to stage the Summer Exhibition on
7th or 15th July
we eventually decided we would not be beaten and would attempt 8th
September and hope for an Indian Summer.
It is the highlight of our year were we can all get together and catch up
and also welcome our newcomers to the Society so we felt it was important not to
miss out this event.
After much re planning and
re booking our Summer Exhibition took place under a glorious sun with 25
exhibitors we had an amazing day there were dozens of visitors
on the green and many compliments about the standard of our work, we exceeded last year’s sales which is always
a good sign that things are picking up. We sold 30 paintings by 10 different
Artists and nearly £270 in cards and crafts, which made all the effort
worthwhile. We exceeded our expenses by £56 which is very comforting. Well done everyone and a special thanks to
The Committee and all the helpers.
