A last minute change of Demonstration saw the appearance of Max Hale tonight at the meeting of Virginia Water Art Society we thoroughly enjoyed the portrait demonstration that he gave use. He was using water mixable oils and through each stage of the portrait he explained the process and his thinking whilst he worked which we found enormously helpful. You can see from the photos the development of the painting and the many changes that were made through the various stages and how Max progressed through the evening developing the portrait until it became a good likeness. Many Thanks to Max for an enjoyable evening.

Demonstration by Jo Louca watercolour night scene 5.8.15
Tonight we saw a demonstration by one of our favourite Artists Jo Louca, who painted a night scene in watercolour for us and throughout the demonstration Jo talked us through the thought processes that help her decide how to develop the painting and what choices she makes during the painting which if enormously helpful in understanding how to make improvements as you go. Also Jo shared with us how to make corrections in watercolour which we all find difficult but Jo demonstrated how it can be done successfully. Thank you Jo for a very informative evening and Thank you for giving your painting to the Society, which will be framed and raffled
