Virginia Water Art Society were please to welcome Jeremy Ford past president of the SAA to our April meeting and were treated to a wonderful demonstration by him using Gouache paints the scene was a winter sunset in the country, we were all inspired by the demonstration and our thanks go to Jeremy for a really enjoyable demonstration.

Demonstration By Soraya French 4.2.15
Virginia Water Art Society were very pleased to welcome Soraya French to our Wednesday evening meeting where she demonstrated painting Poppies in mixed media she started with lots of lovely vibrant acrylic inks and then enhanced the work with pastels oil pastels and acrylics. The members of the Society were enthralled at the process and enjoyed the evening. Thank you Soraya

Sera Knight Demonstration Ballerinas in Watercolour 7.1.15
Our first demonstration of the year is Sera Knight pictured below painting Ballerinas in watercolour, we are always pleased to see Sera demonstrating at Virginia Water Art Society and tonight was particularly brilliant Sara showed us many ways in which we can improve our painting techniques and how to resolve any problems arising when painting in watercolour we were thoroughly entertained and Thank you Sera for a lovely evening.

Shan Turner Presenting the Rose Bowl award to Bara Aylwin whose painting Enchanted wood was one of two paintings to receive 9 votes from the Public vote at the Winter Exhibition 2014

Julia and Bara will share the Rose Bowl annual award 6 months each for the highest public votes
Shan Turner (retiring) Chairman Reported onthe Years events and thanked all those who helped with the Societies business and was presented with an Orchid in appreciation of her work throughout the year
Jean McDonnell was elected Chairman and Pam Hawkins Vice Chairman also John McDonnell was thanked for all the work he does at the exhibitions and for operating the camera at the monthly meetings and Jean received on his behalf a bottle by way of thanks.
