Vic Bearcroft Demonstration Animals in Pastel 6.4.11

Virginia Water Art Society were fortunate enough to have a Demonstration by Vic Bearcroft tonight and not only did we learn a good deal about pastel painting but also thanks to Vic's informative demonstration we now know a great deal more about animals in general and big cats in particular The demonstration was very much enjoyed by everyone

John Coppinger Talk Sculpture in Films 2.3.11

Today Firginia Water Art Society members experienced something very different from the usual demonstration,  sculptor John Coppinger bought along some of his work and entertained us with stories of his experiences in the film industry where he sculpted anything from Sly to Sci-Fly

A.G.M Virginia Water Art Society 19.1.11

At last the A.G.M. was able to take place for the Virginia Water Art Society after having to postpone the event from our December calendar we were able hear the reprots from last years activities and the Treasurers report and  to vote in the new committee members and re-elect the existing ones Rodney Lucas as President officiated the elections of Jean McDonnell  as Chairman & Publicity Secretary  Marie Cooke as Vice Chairman Liz Ford will continue for the time being as secretary Julie Osborne as Membership Secretary Pam Hawkins as Programme Secretary Rosa Sears as Outings organizer other members Patricia Lumley, Douglas Coe, Patsy Moore  after the business of the day the members of the Society enjoyed a social gathering with food and wine.

Edwin Cripps Demonstration Dog in Acrylics 5.1.11



Edwin Cripps is a favourite demonstrator at Virginia Water Art Society and today he entertained us with his interpretation of an English Military Dog complete with monicle and cigar Edwin used a canvas which had been painted on already and incorporated the background into his new painting of the dog as usual he was painting with jo Sonja Acrylic paints
