COMING UP SOON
Saturday 1st April. One of our popular Painting Days, when we meet informally on a Saturday to paint together for hours on end! It’s 10am to 4pm at our usual venue, St Ann’s Heath School (Sandhills Lane, Virginia Water GU25 4DS). Tea and biscuits provided by the society, bring packed lunch for yourself and all materials, and pain whatever you like. Cost £10, and you can give it to Doug on the day
Wednesday 5th April.
This is our regular Artist Demonstration, and will be given by Max Hale. Max
will be using acrylic paint to depict people round a cafe table - there will be
much to learn on my part, not least how to even start! It promises to be very
interesting!
Oil
paint enthusiasts, don’t despair - the demonstration on 3rd May will be on
still life using oils!

Fabulous demonstration tonight by Jonathan Newey using guache painting a stag in a woodland scene the audience were very much engrossed with the process and the development of the painting Jonathan has a wonderful way of keeping everyone informed which give us so much information on how his paintings are made and the technical and artistic way he paints inspires us all to have a go.

from 10 am to 4.30 pm to be held in St Ann's Heath Junior School Sand Hills Lane Virginia Water
Where like minded Artists gather to spend an indulgent day painting and practicing the art of painting
from beginners to well practiced artists, there is nothing like sharing your love of painting.

A great evening was had by Virginia Water Art Society members and visitors watching the Demonstration by Professional Artist Mark Fennell when he painted a Portrait of Joint the Chairman Douglas Coe. Mark took the audience through the step by step process he uses to create a likeness. These demonstrations not only an inspire us to paint they also give us the practical information we need to improve our efforts. Thank You Mark
