All Day Workshop with Sera Knight 16.3.13

Sera Knight's Workshop watercolour street scene with people was greatly enjoyed. Sera first demonstrated painting a busy street with lots of people and traffic, we then attempted our own version thanks to Alan Mar and his neighbour  who photocopied several photos for the group to use as a reference. Sara then helped us individually as we progressed with our own painting. We learned a lot  throughout the day and all enjoyed the process very much.

Drawing for the Terrified By David Lewry 6.3.13

What fun we had at the monthly meeting of Virginia Water Art Society on Wednesday 6th March when David Lewry came talk to us about drawing and explained the mechanics and emotions involved in drawing and got the audience to participate and in this way demonstrated how we can all achieve good results, his talk was very informative explaining some of the things we can do to improve our drawing skills.  We all enjoyed the evening so much we hope that David will come back and do a workshop for us next year. 

Demonstration by Tiffany Budd 6.2.13

Tiffany Budd came to Virginia Water Art Society to Demonstrate her very unique style of pastel painting. Tiffany developed the style of Fractured Painting which gives a twist to still life or traditional paintings, we were all kept very much entertained for over two hours as Tiffany explained her technique and gave us tips and advise on pastel painting we all enjoyed the demonstration enormously 

Demonstration By Sera Knight 9.1.13

Tonight we had the pleasure of seeing Sera Knight demonstrate a street scene in water colour with people.  Sera has a wonderful way of  bringing her paintings alive using washes of colours then gradually developing the painting bringing the figures to life with colour and movement we all really enjoyed the demonstration and are looking forward to our workshop with Sera in March
