Demonstration By Mike Skidmore 3.5.17

The members of Virginia Water Art Society were thoroughly entertained this evening by Mike Skidmore who came to demonstrate painting a Portrait from a photograph using oils. he came  with an under painting in acrylic and then painted thin layers of oil starting with the darks first them progressing through to the lights explaining his technique along the way interspersed with stories about himself and his painting experiences which the audience found very amusing.

Demonstration By Margaret Glass 5.4.17

The April Demonstration  held at the Community Centre Virginia Water was very enjoyable Margaret Glass was working with soft Pastels and she showed us how she builds up her paintings with layers of many colours and gave us lots of information about the materials she used. Virginia Water Art Society members enjoyed her demonstration very much and Margaret very kindly donated her painting to the Art Society Thank you Margaret

Sera Knight Demonstration 4.1.17

Tonight Sera Knight came to Virginia Water Art Society to demonstrate painting a street scene in watercolour.  Sera is a regular demonstrator at our Society and we always enjoy watching her paint and tonight was no exception.  Sera is always instils inspiration so thank you Sera
