Sharon Hurst Silk Painting Workshop at Virginia Water Art Society 12.4.14

What a fabulous day we had in the Sharon Hurst Silk Workshop at the Community Hall Virginia Water. Sharon first came to demonstrate for us her amazing silk painting craft and we were all so
taken with what she did that we asked her to come and spend the day with a small group of us so that we could learn how to paint on silk. Amazingly we all put our own signature to our pieces each one of us produced something different and had great fun doing it.  Thank you Sharon for a wonderful day of creativity.

Kim Page came to Virginia Water Art Society to demonstrate still life in watercolour and entertained us with a wonderful demonstration giving us a great deal of information about how to use watercolours what materials are best and the approach to making a watercolour painting successful he talked about the way he used the brushes and paints to get the desired effects and the resulting paining was absolutely beautiful. We always enjoy kim's demonstrations and look forward to the next one.

LInda Appleby Demonstration 5.3.14

The members of Virginia Water Art Society enjoyed a demonstration by Linda Appleby on Wednesday 5th March. The demonstration was Acrylics Reflections using first acrylic inks to cover the canvas which had an outline of the composition, Linda then progressed to mixing her colours whilst explaining her method of mixing  then placing the colours on the canvas using a photo for reference,  all the time explaining the method and reasoning giving us tips and hints along the way. We thoroughly enjoyed the evening and will certainly hope to see Linda again soon.
