Virginia Water Art Society held their AGM and members party on 1 December 2009 after election of the officers and committee those present enjoyed a glass of wine and fine food and a pleasant evening was had by all

Edwin Cripps Demonstration 3.11.09
Today Edwin Cripps very kindly stepped in to give us a wonderful demonstration of a night snow scene in acrylics the advertised artist due to paint water in water colour was unable to appear and Edwin was asked if he could help us, despite appearing at the NEC in Birmingham Edwin was able to travel back in order to demonstrate his snow scene. Members of the audience expecting watercolour were initially disappointed but soon found themselves thoroughly entertained by Edwin and enjoyed the informative demonstration of Jo Sonja Acrylics

Jean Turton Demonstrating Chinese Brush Painting
Tonight we welcomed Jean Turton who came to demonstrate chinese brush painting. She explaned the brushes inks and methods of painting and demonstrated with paintings of wisteria and other flowers showing how each stroke of the brush built up the shapes of the flowers. Although not many members turned up due to the very heavy rain those present enjoyed the intimate and informal gathering
