What a fantastic day we had with Jo Louca in the water colour workshop on Saturday we all opted to recreate the picture that Jo demonstrated not just because it was a really good painting but Jo had been kind enough to give us all copies of her stage by stage paining giving all the information about the way each stage was produced. It made a marvellous reference to work by and at each stage Jo demonstrated the techniques she used. We all took our references home so that we could apply the methods to one of our own compositions. It was one of the best workshops I have ever attended Jo was so attentive to each of us helping us through the various stages of our work provide water sprays reference material and handouts. Below are the results of our hard work but in the main the day was good fun and we learnt a lot thank you Jo.

Demonstration by Nick Englefield 3.7.13
The members of Virginia Water Art Society had a very entertaining evening with Nick Englefield who demonstrated painting in Acrylics a scene at Eastbourne. Nick's methods and techniques gave us some insight into the way we can improve our own acrylic paintings. The friendly dialogue and involvement that Nick encourage made the evening very enjoyable and at the end of the demonstration Nick very generously donated the painting for us to raffle at our winter exhibition. Thank you Nick
